National Museum of Modern Art “Carlos Mérida”

Here are exhibited pieces of Guatemalan masters, is a representative show of plastic Guatemalan contemporaneous arts, particularly painting, sculpture, engraving and caricature. Offer: Permanent and temporal expositions, library, workshops and video files.

National Museum of National History “Jorge A. Ibarra “

Founded in July 4, 1950. The installations that occupy actually the museum were inaugurated on September 19, 1986. Its main mission is collect, study, preserve and exhibit representative pieces of the biodiversity and others natural resources of Guatemala. Besides; contribute to the conservations of those resources and the environment improvement, by means of educative activities.

National Museum of History
It exhibits a range of historical treasures that represent the economic, social and cultural events in Guatemala, from the Spain conquer and the process of independence to the Republic

Fray Francisco Vásquez Museum
It is located within the San Francisco Church, conserves the Franciscan Order treasures of Guatemala: Oils, religion sculpture, furniture and books.

Ixchel Museum of Mayan Costumes
It stores up an extraordinary collection of regional costumes from distinct indigenous population of the country. Also offer a sold of ceramic, handicraft, jewelry and books.

Holy Week Museum
Here you can appreciate photographs, garments of images, documents and disks, all related with the catholic religion ambit.

Popol Vuh Museum
It exhibits a valuable pre-Hispanic art collection (stone sculpture and ceramic). It also included a colonial art of Guatemala and another one of folklore.

M.I.M.A. HOUSE
It is a cultural center set in a house dating from the late 1800s behind its moderate façade saves a magnificent example of environment according to the time anddecorative arts that cover the century XIX and halfway through XX. esides;  founts with a collection of colonial imagery and pre-Hispanic ceramic. The combination of styles and influences of  different nationalities reflect the way of life of a specific era, as well as the identity of the Guatemalan inhabitant of the capital, of more than a century ago.

Museum of Natural History of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala

The museum thematic is natural history. It counts with a scientific collection of minerals, fossils, botanic, insects, birds, mammalians and reptiles.

Bodegas Museum from Century XIX,Central America Brewery
It presents historical objects, machinery and graphics about how to elaborate beer.

Museum of University of San Carlos de Guatemala (MUSAC)

Is a service unit, created by the Consejo Superior Universitario that contributes to the cultural diffusion and the scientific  knowledge. It presents expositions about the university history, national culture  and art. It counts with areas for temporal expositions where are presented itinerants expositions and internationals with a range of topics.

Cultural Museum of Flavio Herrera
The museum thematic is literature. It lodges properties of the writer Flavio Herrera.

Children’s Museum of Guatemala
Interactive museum with more than 50 exhibitions, that allows the visitant to learn about different topics in a fun way
The museum thematic is interactive science and technology.

Carlos F. Novella Museum
It counts with a photographic exhibition  about the history of the cement in Guatemala, machinery and objects used throughout 100 years in that industry. It counts with an interactive area of the process of elaboration of cement.

En Guatemala casi siempre, la mayoría de gente vive jusgando los patrimonios y la economía social q nos afecta, pero es de reconocer q contamos con gente humilde, soñadora y emprendedora para cualquier acto humanitario q se necesite y cuenta con muchas riquezas q la madre naturaleza nos a dado. por eso hoy mañana y siempre m sentire orgulloso de ser un gran Guatemalteco.... porque nosotros se saber que es luchar día con día.
